work
overview

I was approached by the new owners of Magic Garden to help recreate and update their preschool's brand identity. I did this by helping to create a new logo, colour palette, basic website setup, and photography.

branding/logo

The brief for the logo was fairly simple: fix it and make it modern. Leaving a free reign on creating a solid brand with guidance of the owners' visions. As previously Magic Garden's logo was an old illustration of two children sitting under a tree with too much detail, making it hard to see and recognise when shrunken down.

Together Emilija Rakich and I created the new logo of Magic Garden. Emilija had created the icon, whilst I helped by selecting and refining the type face and colour palette.

The type face used, 'Poppins', was selected for its simple minimalist look, as well as legibility.

website
setup

Magic Garden's old website was in need of some desperate help, as the website was not easily legible, navigated or showed any signs of brand identity. Using WIX I started from scratch in designing a simple and clean website, that was user friendly and keeping with the brand's identity. As well as using new and current photos of the preschool.

photography

Imagery can make or break a website/design/vision/reputation. So making sure a business has good photography is key. I ran a small photoshoot for Magic Garden, for them to use as content and collateral. The style of the photography was to keep it bright, warm, welcoming; to reflect how the owners wanted the preschool feel. Using warm overlays/colour grading and exposure, I was able to achieve this look for the preschool, making it feel more friendly, approachable.
