FAMILY NETWORK

VOLUNTEER WORK

OVERVIEW

I was reached out to by a member of Family Network to help create a branding and a website design for their non for profit organisation.

Family Network's intentions are to help kiwi families, with disabled loved ones, seek and find a better version of life. As most government systems, are designed with one mainstream option and solution. This organisation helps families and parents to understand their different options and opportunities, by connecting similar families and their experiences and difficulties and how they overcame them.

LOGO

The logo suggests to bring family's out of the dark and help them to a brighter and happier place for them and their disabled children. By using three common colours associated with communication disabilities, I created their logo. A circular logo was chosen for symbolic reasons, which I then developed into a sense of community by creating bird's eye view silhouettes holding hands.

CATEGORY
ICONS

Each of these icons resembles a category that Family Network offer.

The first icon resembles the category 'Planning',

the second 'Mentoring', and the third 'Family Leadership'.

COLOUR
PALETTE

Each colour resembles a stage in the Family Network's process, going from grey (planning) to blue (mentoring) and finally to yellow (family leadership).

These are the core colour of the brand as they show families getting the help they need bringing them out from the darkness and slowly bringing them into the light of a better future.

They are also some of the more common colours associated with communication disorders.

WEBSITE
DESIGN

Using the web platform WIX, I created the visual design for the Family Network website. To help better connect families and give a real sense of what Family Network is all about.
